160 Hours, Two Ways to Finish

Every student completes the same 60 hours of online theory and 100 hours of in-person clinical training. Pick the clinical group that fits your week.

Weekday Clinical Group
Online Theory Monday–Friday, 9am–1pm or 5pm–9pm
Total: 60H
Clinical Training Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–3:30 PM (8 hrs/day), except Day 29 (4 hrs). 31 days total, including theory sessions and makeup days.
Total: 100H
Total Hours 160

Clinical Training Saturday & Sunday, 7:00 AM–7:30 PM (12 hrs/day), except Day 25 (4 hrs). 27 days total, including theory sessions and makeup days.

Technology Requirements

To participate successfully in the online Nurse Assistant Training Program (NATP), students need:

  • A desktop or laptop computer (Windows, macOS, or Chromebook)
  • Stable internet connection
  • Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge (latest version)
  • Webcam and working microphone
  • Headset or earbuds for clear audio during live classes
  • Access to Zoom, Google Classroom, Google Meet, and Gmail
  • Ability to view videos and upload assignments in Google Form or common formats (PDF, Word, or image)
Support: Tutorials on Google Classroom and other tools are provided during orientation. Technical assistance is available before or during business hours at (408) 256-0763 or calace@cna.school.
Academic Standards

Grading Requirements

To succeed in the Nursing Assistant Program, students must meet the following standards.

79% and above Pass Student may continue to the clinical portion of the program.
78% and below Fail One retake is allowed for each failed test or quiz. If the retake score remains below 79%, the student must repeat the failed module in accordance with school policy.
Minimum averageA minimum average of 79% is required to pass the classroom (theory) portion.
Failing thresholdScores of 78% and below are considered failing.
RetakesOnly one retake is allowed per test or quiz.
No roundingNo rounding up of grades (for example, 78.5% will remain 78.5%).
Late homeworkHomework submitted more than one day late will receive 0%, unless it is approved make-up work related to excused absences or attendance issues.
Progression to clinicalClassroom grades must be satisfactory before students may proceed to the clinical portion.

Note: Livescan and fingerprinting fees, BLS/CPR certification, TB testing, other required health documents, and the State Exam fee are not included in the tuition. The State Exam fee is paid directly to the testing provider (Credentia/Headmaster) when you schedule your State Competency Exam.

Tuition costs remain the same whether paid in full or by installment. Students paying by installment receive the same training, materials, and support as those paying in full.
