Mission College counselors are available to assist you with counseling-related questions in the application process.

Important Dates

  • Application period is October 9, 2023, 10 a.m. through October 30, 2023, 4 p.m.
    (no late applications will be accepted)
  • Applicants will be notified by email week of November 27, 2023 of their acceptance status
    (information regarding an application or applicant standing will not be given out by email or phone)
  • Mandatory Orientation for accepted students is December 6, 2023 from 8 a.m. to 4:40 p.m.

Eligibility Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or GED, or Associate Degree or higher from a WASC accredited US college.
  • At least 17 years of age at start of program.
  • Current California Department of Public Health (CDPH), Certification as Certified Nurse Assistants (CNA).
  • Completion of BIO*022 – Anatomy and Physiology (4 units) OR the equivalent with a “C” or better.
  • Current American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) certificate.
  • A Social Security Number (SSN) or an Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) with legal work authorization is required to participate in the clinical components of this program. A clinical agency may require background checks, proof of health insurance, and selective  service registration for males ages 18-25. If at any time, a clinical agency denies student access, the student will be required to withdraw from the program.

Additional Information

The following additional requirements must be met in order to be eligible to apply to the Vocational Nursing (VN) program.

  1. Before submitting an application, students must apply for Mission College Spring, Summer or Fall 2023 term through CCCApply.
  2. Submit your application AFTER you receive a Welcome Message and your Student ID number from Mission College
